Inspired by the art of French master soap-making, and hand-crafted by small family “savonneries” using only natural and organic ingredients, our soaps are truly a slice of tradition. But they’re more than just soap, our beautiful bars are actually artisan, craft skincare products that gently cleanse your skin and leave it soft, smooth and moisturised.
It’s simple really, we sell products we love made by people we trust, and we’d love to share with you the very best that Provence has to offer.

We’re proud of our products and we're proud of the people who make them.
Marseille soaps are exquisite gentle soaps with exceptional skincare properties and they’ve been produced by French artisan craft master soap-makers using traditional methods for over 600 years.
Our soaps are sourced directly from the producers in Marseille, hand-crafted using fresh ingredients they conform fully to UK and European regulations on cosmetics. They’re 100% natural, free from SLS, silicon and artificial pigments and are dermatologically tested, cruelty-free and suitable for all skin types.
OUR COMMITMENT
Until the late 19th Century in Marseille, hundreds of small family “savonneries” produced France’s iconic Savon de Marseille. Sadly, all but a handful now remain. With the introduction of synthetic detergents, industrialisation, the growth of supermarkets and more recently counterfeit copies, they have all but disappeared.
Happily, today, there is somewhat of a renaissance. Consumers are rediscovering the environmentally friendly natural virtues of Savon de Marseille, and choosing them as a refreshing alternative to synthetic, chemical and petroleum-based products.
We’re wholeheartedly committed to supporting them!
