Policy Statement.

 

We’re passionate about french soap and we’re passionate about our planet and we sincerely believe that a small contribution from all of us can make a big difference. Our commitment to the environment is to have a zero waste policy and so we refuse to sell any products in plastic bottles or using plastic pumps. As a consequence, all our french soaps and products are sold "naked" without plastic and ​packaged in 100% eco-friendly, bio-degradable or recyclable materials.

 

We firmly believe that we have a responsibility to the environment far beyond our legal and regulatory requirements, so we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact and are continually striving to improve our environmental performance as an integral part of our business strategy and operating methods.

 

We believe that the successful future of our business depends on the service that we offer to the customers we serve, the sustainability of the environment, and the communities and economies in which we operate. We accept that we bear a responsibility to consider the impacts of our actions and how they affect the environment both directly in terms of our own operations, and indirectly through our purchasing decisions, the products and services that we offer to our customers, and the business opportunities that we pursue.

Scope.

 

The requirements of this policy apply to all entities and employees of our business, and the primary audience for it are those responsible for its implementation.

 

Policy Aims.

 

This policy aims to make the following commitments:

1. To continually improve and monitor environmental performance.

2. To continually improve and reduce environmental impacts.

3. To incorporate environmental factors into business decisions.

4. To increase employee awareness and training.

5. To revue this policy and any related business issues on a regular basis.

 

Compliance.

 

We will comply with, and exceed our environmental obligations and all relevant regulatory requirements, including taking a proactive approach regarding the environmental legislation that affects our business.

 

Own Operations.

 

We aim to minimize the environmental impact of our own operations through best practice management of our use of energy, transportation, materials consumption, water use, waste, emissions and packaging materials.

 

We encourage suppliers, subcontractors, retailers and recyclers of our products to adopt the same environmental principles.

 

Packaging.

 

We only use eco-friendly, bio-degradable or recyclable materials to package our products.

 

We do not endorse the use of single use plastics or plastic packaging of any description.

 

We use only brown paper infill and various types of corrugated card for package padding and these are both recyclable and biodegradable.

 

Purchasing Decisions.

 

We consider the environmental performance of our suppliers and the environmental attributes of products and services in our purchasing decisions.

Products.

All of our french soap products are 100% naturally derived. They are handmade and use only natural and organic products from sustainable sources in their production.

 

Culture.

 

This policy will be updated at least once annually in consultation with staff and other stakeholders where necessary. 

 

We aim to involve staff in the implementation of this policy, for greater commitment and improved performance and provide staff with relevant environmental training. We also aim to work with suppliers, contractors and subcontractors to improve their environmental performance and use local labour and materials where available to reduce CO2 and help the community.
