A true, zero waste, eco friendly, marine-safe alternative!

Traditional plastic dish brushes are made using toxic petrochemicals derived from crude oil, they contribute to landfill and last for around 400 years. They shed plastic bristles which find their way into our oceans and are extremely harmful to marine life.

Our plastic free traditional dish brush has plant-based bristles and a replaceable head. Genuinely eco-friendly, it’s made from sustainable materials and is completely biodegradable and vegan. The handle is made with FSC® certified beechwood which is both fast-growing and sustainable. The bristle fibres are Tampico, which is a very robust fibre made from the yellow leaf of the agave cactus which grows in northern Mexico. Tampico has great water-retaining properties, is resistant and hard-wearing and keeps its shape without softening. It’s not only natural and sustainable but grown without pesticides or herbicides, further reducing its impact on the environment. The brush head is replaceable, so you’ll reduce waste by up to 40% each time you replace it. It’s really easy to do too - just firmly squeeze the metal clip and release. The used heads are compostable.

These brushes are great quality and ISO certified, complying with international quality standards, which means you can be sure you’re paying for genuine, quality sustainable materials. They’re great for washing your dishes, really effective at cleaning hard surfaces like hobs and ovens, and will even remove leftover residues and mould.
